Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides is an upcoming 2011 3D fantasy action-adventure film. It is the fourth film in the Pirates of the Caribbeanseries, distributed by Walt Disney Pictures, produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and stars Johnny Depp, Penelope Cruz, Ian McShane, Geoffrey Rush, Kevin McNally, Astrid Bergès-Frisbey, Sam Claflin, Stephen Graham, Gemma Ward and Richard Griffiths. The film was first announced in September 2008, andprincipal photography started in June 2010. Unlike the previous films, which were shot primarily on location in the Caribbean, On Stranger Tides had most of its production in Hawaii.
